Home is where the heart is

The suburbs are in a perpetual state of movement - of population, construction and destruction. Thirty years on from Maurice Pialat´s film, this movement is still here. In 1994, the places Pialat filmed have changed, but the disillusion oozing from his film has given way to another feeling, mixed now with resignation. A sometimes virulent demand to claim back these areas made by the inhabitants themselves. This film is based on the idea of belonging. It deals both with the people who have always lived here and the younger generation who have grown up here.
