Kings of the ring

The "Kings of the Ring" (the world´s heavyweight champions) do not simply reign over that one ´dazzling square of light´ and one category. They also fascinate a vast number of people. These people can identify with their heroes all the more since they did not become kings through divine right, but through the power of their own fists. That puts them within reach of the man in the street. Using just a few examples of the biggest boxers, we also try to show how & over and above the ring´s dazzling lights and the stage which is rather blinding, all things considered & their personal journey, and their life of light and shadow which tell us about the morals and society of the time.
