Heavy Metal is the least musical term ever used to describe a mainstream musical direction. In the Eighties, heavy metal records were best-sellers to an audience one perceived in one´s mind´s eye as young, and rebelling against paternal authority, with bikes, piercing, tattoos and metal nails. The beginning of the Nineties was not such a good time for Heavy Metal, and it seemed like the wind of change had blown. But 1996 was the year of its resurrection - Heavy Metal, which everyone thought dead and buried, came surging back to life from the shadows, more alive than ever. One man came to join the great Heavy Metal family, perhaps its savior - Pat Boone, a living legend, whose innumerable bubblegum hits sold millions in the Fifties and Sixties. Pat Boone, the star of our documentary, is on the brink of recording his album entitled ´In a Metal Mood´. Will he succeed in his intrepid relaunch?
