This is journey of friendship, as an Argentine goes back to his continent in search of his ´friend´ from Bahia. And while the body of work, records and career of the First Lady of Brazilian music are well known, her starting point, training and first steps have been rather foggy up to now, appearing vaguely legendary.
Thanks to many different approaches which cover both location and era, as well as flashbacks using towns and regions, this film traces the origins of Maria Bethânia´s voice and style.
